DBA International Makes Appointments to Certification Council

DBA Inter­na­tion­al is pleased to announce the Cer­ti­fi­ca­tion Council’s elec­tion of Brett Sol­dev­ila as Chair to the eleven-mem­ber DBA Cer­ti­fi­ca­tion Coun­cil. As a Cer­ti­fied Pub­lic Accoun­tant and Cer­ti­fied Fraud Exam­in­er, Sol­dev­ila brings 11 years of expe­ri­ence work­ing in com­pli­ance and inter­nal audits, and cur­rent­ly serves as Chief Com­pli­ance Offi­cer for Secu­ri­ty Cred­it Ser­vices, LLC. He has served on the Cer­ti­fi­ca­tion Coun­cil since 2014 and was most recent­ly Chair for the Council’s Stan­dards Com­mit­tee.

The DBA Board of Direc­tors recent­ly appoint­ed Celeste Ander­son (Front­line Asset Strate­gies), Kevin Bowens (Atlantic Cred­it & Finance), William Brauch (retired, Iowa Attor­ney General’s Office), Svet­lana Denekamp (Resur­gence Cap­i­tal), John Gras­er (Bar­clays Bank), Ivan Lavin­sky (Absolute Res­o­lu­tions Corp), and Jen­nifer Wil­son (Debt­Trad­er) to serve on the Coun­cil. These new mem­bers join the vet­er­an mem­bers Brett Sol­dev­ila, G. Reynolds Sims (G. Reynolds Sims & Asso­ciates), Tim Sul­li­van (HS Finan­cial Group, LLC), and Trudy Weiss Craig (Uni­fund CCR).

Mem­bers of the Cer­ti­fi­ca­tion Coun­cil work for indus­try par­tic­i­pant com­pa­nies. The Coun­cil is respon­si­ble for the admin­is­tra­tion of DBA International’s high­ly regard­ed and well received Receiv­ables Man­age­ment Cer­ti­fi­ca­tion Pro­gram.

I’m encour­aged by the tal­ent and back­ground these mem­bers bring to the Cer­ti­fi­ca­tion Coun­cil, it’s vital to have such top indus­try pro­fes­sion­als,” said Todd Lan­sky, Pres­i­dent of the Board of Direc­tors for DBA Inter­na­tion­al. “The Cer­ti­fi­ca­tion pro­gram holds each cer­ti­fied com­pa­ny and indi­vid­ual to the high­est uni­form stan­dards of busi­ness pro­to­col.”

By becom­ing a Cer­ti­fied Pro­fes­sion­al Receiv­ables Com­pa­ny (CPRC), DBA mem­bers demon­strate to the finan­cial ser­vices indus­try, reg­u­la­tors, and con­sumers that they com­ply with the high­est eth­i­cal stan­dards. Com­pa­ny cer­ti­fi­ca­tions are grant­ed to debt buy­ing companies—as well as law firms and col­lec­tion agencies—that com­ply with uni­form stan­dards, indus­try best prac­tices and con­sumer pro­tec­tions. Cer­ti­fied com­pa­nies are required to sub­mit to inde­pen­dent third-par­ty com­pli­ance audits to main­tain their cer­ti­fied sta­tus.
